Dave Davis began his career in dance music back in the ‘90s at the tender age of 18 after signing with the renowned Belgian label Bonzai Records. His first drop, Transfiguration, shifted 30,000 copies on vinyl alone plus compilations and CD sales. 20 singles followed over the next three years under a variety of aliases, including Les Sabotages, Phrenetic System and Davis & Santini.
Alongside the success of his recorded output Davis’ career as an international DJ took off, playing trance and techno in some of the world’s biggest clubs and parties, including Mayday, Love Parade, White sensasion , Street Parade & Energy, Cream , Mystery Land, Tomorrowland , Pacha (Ibiza), Anzu Club Brazil , Fuse , Mansion in Miami, Cherry Moon, Paris Gay Pride and Francofolies de Spa in his homeland of Belgium and more…
Davis moved to London where he stayed for two years where became involved in the UK electronic scene, including figures such as Colin Dale (KISS FM), Carl Cox, Ultimate bass Records before making the decision to enter the Drum Tech academy and work on his skills as a singer, which resulted in his award winning collaborations with David Guetta (The World is mine) across two albums, as well as work with Sinema (Love Emulator Album) realise on sound of Barclay , Chab (Closer to me) on Saw & Azulli rec UK , Tocadisco, KIKO, Kolombo, and Junior Jack & Kid Creme, among others.
As resident DJ at Cherry Moon in Gent, Belgium he’s played alongside figures such as Jeff Mills, Carl Cox, Moby, Dave Clark, Sven Vath, Laurent Garnier , Green velvet , and many more.
2013 already seems to signal a period of new growth and regeneration for Davis with a major new releases for UK label Skint Records (Fatboy Slim, Freq Nasty and more): New Skin and Changed featuring Skye (Morcheeba`s) on vocals , and Davis has returned the favour, contributing a remix of Skye’s own single Nowhere for PIAS Records UK. Dave Davis is a restless artist who has managed to stay relevant on the scene internationally for more than a decade, and 2013 is looking like one of his biggest years yet: watch this space!
